The University of Arkansas Cossatot Foundation received a donation from Martin Marietta in Cove, Arkansas to fund an industrial maintenance scholarship for UA Cossatot students.
The scholarship will fund three hundred and seventy-five dollars per semester for up to four semesters for a student pursuing the Associate of Applied Science General Technology degree.
One of the biggest focuses of UA Cossatot Foundation is working with donors to provide scholarships for UA Cossatot students on all four campuses; De Queen, Nashville, Ashdown, and Lockesburg. The UA Cossatot Foundation currently has a variety of donor-funded scholarships that can help students pursue a variety of degree programs offered at UA Cossatot.
“Industrial maintenance is greatly needed in our region,” said Martin Marietta Plant Manager, Salomon Hernandez. “We are happy to partner with UA Cossatot to help local students pursue a career in this trade.”
The UA Cossatot Foundation invites individuals or businesses to make a lasting gift toward student success in a variety of ways; establishing a scholarship, forming an endowment, leaving a bequest, naming a classroom or building, and several other options for area donors.
“We are excited about this partnership with Martin Marietta and know our students will greatly benefit from this funding opportunity,” said Dustin Roberts, Coordinator of Development.
