Charles Brown, University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College graduate and Arkansas Department of Transportation Division Head\Chief Information Officer, shares his #WatchARWork story.
“What a crazy nine years it has been for me! My journey started in 2010 with the decision to go back to school to complete my degree. With guidance from many friends, I attended University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College (UA-PTC) and completed an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems – Networking emphasis in 2013. However, I was not done yet! After graduating from UA-PTC, I transferred to Arkansas Tech University (ATU) where I earned a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Information Technology in 2015 and a Master of Science in Health Informatics in 2017.
Fast forward from 2010 to present, I am the Division Head\Chief Information Officer of Information Technology for the Arkansas Department of Transportation. I love the work I do, the people I get to serve daily, and being able to serve the citizens of Arkansas in this role. None of this would have been possible without the knowledge and confidence gained through the academic journey I undertook. The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step and that first step started at the University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College!
Praise God for His blessings and these opportunities.”
